Serve our neighbors this winter

Loving our West Side neighbors comes in many forms. Let’s kick off the year by serving our neighbors in need. Here are three ways you can tangibly love those in our neighborhood:

1. Help our neighbors keep warm with our January coat drive
Every Sunday in January
We'll be collecting coats at W83 in partnership with The Bowery Mission. Bring your gently used coats with you to a worship service, drop them in the box in the lobby and we'll get them to the Bowery Mission.

2. Provide groceries for under-resourced neighbors
During the Super Bowl on February 2
As you enter the viewing party, donate a 1-pound bag of rice, bag of coffee or bag of beans/legumes (monetary donations are also accepted). Groceries and collections will go to support Free Indeed, a food pantry that serves under-resourced members of Redeemer and neighbors who live near W83. Please bring these items (and no others) as the were requested by Free Indeed.

3. Don’t Walk By
Saturday, February 15
Every year we partner with HFNY to serve our neighbors in need on the streets. We are excited that this year, W83 is serving as an anchor church! Sign up individually or with a group to canvas our neighborhood with care kits, food and an invitation back to W83 where homeless guests can receive a hot meal, basic medical care and be connected to recovery programs.

The whole family can be involved with Don't Walk By! On Saturday, January 25, children from Redeemer West Side and Lincoln Square will be be packing the care kits that will be distributed during Don't Walk By. Families with children can register for Kits of Care on Saturday, January 25 here.
